MICHELLE BRANDON

Michelle Brandon brings to her clients 13 years of non-profit marketing and publicity experience, with the past nine years focused on work off-Broadway in New York City. 

Since becoming a consultant in 2005, she has worked with performing arts companies on branding, planning and public relations, including building marketing departments and upgrading staffing plans. Current and past clients include Gotham Chamber Opera, New York City Opera, Westport Country Playhouse, Theater By The Blind, Dance New Amsterdam, Ticket Central, Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts, Eva Dean Dance, Playbill, Urban Stages, and The Moonshine Project, as well as other off-off-Broadway productions.

As a staff member, Michelle began her career as marketing and development assistant at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY. Upon moving to New York City, she worked as Promotions Assistant at the New York City Opera. In July of ’00, she began her work off-Broadway, serving for three years as Director of Marketing at the Pearl Theatre Company and for two years as the Director of Marketing at the Signature Theatre Company. In these positions, she created marketing plans including audience development initiatives, served as chief publicist for the theatres and oversaw direct mail, print advertising, online marketing, database management, market research and box office budgets and operations.

Ms Brandon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Cornell University, where she served as a reporter and copy editor for the student newspaper. She also served during one semester as an editorial assistant at FW and Active Life Magazines in London, where she worked on articles and feature stories while seeing as many theatre performances as she could afford. A Brooklyn resident today, Michelle serves clients throughout the tri-state area.
